Diving in Nevis
Divers
of all skill levels can suit up for an adventurous excursion through
the captivating waters of exquisite Nevis. Divers will find pleasure
exploring rare black coral reefs at depths of 40 to 70 feet, or
journeying through lobster gangs and schools of squirrel fish at
the stony grottos under Nevis' west coast. Beginning divers
can plunge the refreshing waters engulfing the River Taw Wreck -
the site of a 144-foot freighter lying 50 feet below. Take on the
Grid Iron; a sponge-covered shelf teeming with angelfish. There
are a number of dive operators who can guide you on a spectacular
journey through the wonderful wrecks and reefs at Nevis and St.
Kitts islands. Several island hotels and resorts offer dive packages
that host trips and provide equipment.
